Ingredients for Keto Onion Relish
Ingredients | Quantity |
Onion | 150 g |
Turnip, raw | 150 g |
Butter | 30 g |
Erythritol Granulated | 3 tbsp |
Balsamic vinegar | 1 tbsp |
Distilled White Vinegar | 2 tbsp |
Boiling water | 60 ml |
Preparation for Keto Onion Relish
- Prepare the onion by slicing it very thinly, then grate the turnip. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat and sauté the turnips and onions for about ten minutes, or until the vegetables are tender. Maintain a steady stirring motion to avoid cooking the onions. While that is going on, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the erythritol. Sauté for another 2 minutes. After that, pour in the vinegar and stir for a few minutes, or until all of the vinegar has been absorbed by the food.
- The hot water should be poured in. Put the lid on it and turn the heat down. Simmer for around 10 minutes, examining the mixture at regular intervals to make sure it doesn’t catch fire.
- After the onions and turnips have reached the desired level of caramelization, remove the lid. Allow it to cook uncovered until all of the extra water has been absorbed into the dish. This relish made with keto-friendly caramelized onions is now ready to be served.
