Open-faced tuna melts are the ideal choice for a meal that is both light and nutritious. These melts are topped with tuna salad that has been produced at home without the use of mayonnaise, fresh tomato slices, and melted cheese. You may use English muffins, pieces of sourdough bread, or any other gluten-free bread that you choose!
Ingredients for Open Face Tuna Melts
Ingredients | Quantity |
tuna salad without mayo | 1 batch |
English muffins | 6 |
sharp cheddar cheese | 6 – 12 slices |
slices of vine | 6 – 12 thin slices |
Preparation for Open Face Tuna Melts
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and preheating your oven or toaster oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Arrange the bread slices or half of the English muffins in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Spread tuna salad on top of each half, distributing it in an equal manner throughout the slices.
- Place the tomato slices on the top (1 slice if on an English muffin and 2 if on a piece of bread). After that, cheese should go on top. Bake for ten to fifteen minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese has melted.
- Enjoy!
