The ultimate simple side dish, this air-fried parmesan zucchini is crisp on the outside and cheesy on the inside. It takes less than 15 minutes to make in your air fryer, and it is keto-friendly, low-carb, gluten-free, and healthful. There is no need for breadcrumbs!
Ingredients for Air Fried Parmesan Zucchini
|olive oil||¾ tsp|
|garlic powder||½ tsp|
|onion powder||½ – ¾ tsp|
|black pepper||½ tsp|
|grated parmesan cheese||3 – 4 tbsp|
Preparation for Air Fried Parmesan Zucchini
Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine the zucchini, garlic powder, onion powder, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. You can also use olive oil or olive oil spray. Continue to combine until the zucchini is evenly coated.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that the bottom of your air fryer be meticulously lined with parchment paper. This will prevent the cheese from falling through the grate or becoming trapped in the basket. After adding the zucchini that has been seasoned, air fry the mixture for 8 to 12 minutes, stirring the zucchini once every three minutes or so. The zucchini should be cooked through but still retain some crunch, and the cheese should have a toasty color.
Savor while still warm, and if you like, garnish with a few drops of fresh lemon juice.
