This recipe for Avocado Raita is a raita that is both simple to make and good for you. It is created with avocado, yogurt (curd), and some spices.

Ingredients for Avocado Raita

Ripe avocado (about ½ cup pulp)1 medium
yogurt (or greek yogurt), whisked till smooth1 cup
Onion2 tbsp
Tomato2 tbsp
Cucumber2 tbsp
Green chili finely chopped1
Coriander leaves2 tbsp
Roasted cumin (jeera) powder1/2 tsp
Chat masala1/2 tsp
Lime juice1
Salt to taste

Preparation for Avocado Raita

  1. Make an incision all the way around the seed with your knife, then twist it to break it in two pieces. Remove the flesh by scooping it out with a spoon.
  2. The avocados should be mashed in a bowl using a fork or a potato masher until they are almost completely smooth. After that, add the yogurt that has been whisked.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, green chilies, roasted jeera powder, and chat masala powder. Season with salt. Combine it thoroughly. It can either be served immediately or cooled.
